How a finding is produced
Most monitoring products connect and then alert, skipping everything in between. That gap is why they get switched off in month two, and closing it is the whole of what EntergaiaOS does.

Readings become assets: what each one is, what it is connected to, what it supports and how it should physically behave. This is the step most platforms skip, and the reason theirs raise alarms on a generator running its normal Tuesday test.
Condition is connected to what it puts at risk. Not just that a battery is degrading, but what stops if it fails, how much time you have, and where this sits against everything else competing for the same maintenance window.
Every important finding arrives with the reasoning behind it and a record your engineers, auditors and regulators can examine. Findings are prioritised rather than broadcast, so what reaches an operator is the thing that warrants their attention.
Where we hold the line
Each of these costs us a feature request from time to time. Each is load-bearing for the argument you will make to your own safety case, auditor or regulator — which is exactly why they are not negotiable.
There is no control path in the product and no permission that could grant one. EntergaiaOS observes. Final authority stays with your hardwired interlock chain, where your safety case needs it to be.
A compliance rule with no evidence returns not assessable. It never quietly returns compliant. Absent evidence is a finding in its own right, and treating it as a pass is how audits fail.
A figure is reported as metered only where source truth exists, otherwise modelled, otherwise unverified. One overstated saving that you discover discredits every other number we have ever shown you.
There is no path to closed without recording what it turned out to be. That one required field is what lets us publish real accuracy against real outcomes rather than assertions.
Failures with no preceding finding are recorded too. Without that, accuracy is gameable by simply raising fewer alarms — which is how monitoring vendors routinely overstate performance.
